So, who are FHSelect? We are a family run business specialising in making your home smell nice and peachy. We select our own products, design our own website, set our own prices and package up our own parcels. About the only thing we don't do is actually deliver the parcel to your door - we let the Royal Mail help us with that, and a flippin good job they do too.
Oh, in case you're wondering, the FH stands for Fragrant Home. Fragrant Home website was our birthplace, we started in 2003 selling incense and essential oils. The Select part was originally conceived as a seperate website Select being the higher end of the scented candle marketplace. We then merged the websites and decided to keep the Select idea going, hence FHSelect.
The reason we like to do everything ourselves is two fold, firstly, we're not actually large enough to employ anyone to help us and secondly, we like to keep control of all aspects of our business to ensure customer service and quality.
We are small enough to change with what our customers want, but being small doesn't mean we can't deliver, although as we just said, we can't, that's why we use Royal Mail!
Ok, joking aside, you may be reading this aricle just to get a more secure feeling you're ordering from a company that's not just going to take your cash and not send the goods. Well, we have 1000's of satisfied customers and we are an Official Yankee Candle Stockists - and they don't just supplier their products to anyone! We use Worldpay for secure credit card transactions and we don't store credit card details on our site, in fact we never get to see any of your card details, these are handled securely by Worldpay. We like to offer our customers a choice, so you can also pay via paypal, or now Google Checkout too.
Fragrant Home are Safebuy Assured, just click the big gold logo to confirm our membership. This means we adhere to a strict code of conduct, this includes website security, customer privacy, clear pricing and trading honestly. If offers our customers, especially new ones peace of mind when ordering. Of course, existing customers already know how good we are!
So, I'm Graham and I do most of the things you see, but obviously I couldn't actually do anything without the help and support of Mandy - and she puts up with quite a bit. If you'd like to contact us, there is a "Support" button at the top. We do publish our phone number, although as we don't have a "shop" there might actually be no one in, we don't have the luxury of a paid receptionist :-) However, email is monitored almost 24 hours a day - I do need some sleep - and we respond as fast as we can - you won't be waiting days! If you're really interested we have a Myspace blog which you can acces at the very top of the page by clicking "Myspace FHS Blog", there's even a photo of me, I hope it doesn't scare the children!
Our aim is for this site to be the world's largest online Candle resource - well ok, lets just scale that back a bit :-) We'd love to be the UK's best Candle Supplier, but we can only do that if our product range and customer service is the best. We're very happy with our levels of customer service and with our ever increasing range we're certainly one of the UK's largest suppliers in terms of our Yankee product range. But we're not taking anything for granted we do work very hard on our website content and the quality of our service. When we do make mistakes - we are human - honest (!) we do our best to correct issues as quickly and amicably as possible.
If you have a question, ask away, we don't bite. The type of questions we can't answer are "which Yankee fragrance is the best?" this is obviously a personal choice. I'll happily tell you what I'm burning at the moment, we always, and I mean always, have a yankee candle burning in our house. The reason we sell the products is we believe in them, and we like them, first and foremost we are Yankee Candles fans and customers.
We love feedback, and although we don't necessarily enjoy negative feedback, constructive critisim is worth it's weight in gold. As I use the website all the time I take it all for granted and could overlook something that is not quite right, or maybe a part of the website that doesn't function as you'd expect. Even what might appear the silliest of problems to you, might be stopping people ordering from us, so we'd love to know so we can get it fixed and make your shopping experience the most enjoyable on the internet.
